I Have Hope

Introduction to Greg

My friend Greg Denie has dedicated his life to making the love of God known to the world through his motivational speaking, hip hop dance and unforgettable spoken word performances. Yes, his talent is enough to fill any stage and wow a crowd, but what wows me most about Greg is his hidden, behind the scenes, unrelenting commitment to love people – and to move every person he meets – into the H O P E marked lifestyle he has chosen to embrace. Here is a word from Greg.

Hope: Here and Now
By Greg Denie

“We know that struggle produces perseverance; perseverance, character; character, hope.”
– Romans 5: 3-4

It is often in the hardest season of life that we struggle to hold onto hope, to believe God is in the brokenness, in the pain, in the storm.  But truthfully it is in those seasons that God is truly with us and working in us to build some of the most powerful tools we will ever be given.  The perseverance to weather any storm, to stand strong against all the forces that try to bring us down, to try to swamp us with worry and doubt.  It is those that build their hope on the foundation of Christ who best understand how to persevere and endure the hardest of seasons.  And that perseverance builds character into our lives, it shapes us, molds us, transforms us into servants of Christ.  It takes all the worry and fear and builds faith, a faith that cannot be shaken.  And all of this leads us to hope, for things to come but more importantly for life here and now.  To know that in every season there is a God we can trust and cling to.  That He truly works ALL things together for the good of those who love Him.  Not just the good things in our lives, but the hard things as well.
