When Vision Becomes Action

Colleen Swinnerton is beautifully seeking God to guide and direct her life, in big things and small. Her daily commitment to see God’s vision, and act in obedience, is bringing blessing to her world in exquisite ways. God gave Colleen vision to bring necklaces, made by women in Primo Tapia Mexico, to bless all of the Youth attending Inspire YXE. Every youth went home with a necklace, and each one had a hopeful word engraved on it. She has also raised funds to gift these necklaces at another Youth Conference coming up in September that aims to combat teen suicide for First Nations Youth, called Project Hope, Saskatchewan. I wanted to share Colleen’s story with you, to inspire you, as God shares His vision with you, for your life too.

When Vision Becomes Action
by Colleen Swinnerton

The following story is one of moving in faith and acting in obedience to the gentle nudging of our awesome, powerful, amazing God.

Early one recent springtime morning the youth that would attend the Inspire youth conference that I had volunteered to help at were on my heart.

Accompanying that thought was a God-inspired idea complete with the picture and the feeling of encouragement the youth would experience by receiving one of the necklaces made by Angelica, a single mom and her two teenage daughters Ivonne and Ivana supported by the Casa De Luz organization in Primo Tapia, Mexico.

The round faces of these necklaces would be stamped with a word of affirmation – an encouragement that would be prayed over to represent an offering of love, with the hope that they be surrounded by God’s love and grace; that each of them would grow to live in the presence of God’s peace and joy to boldly follow the unique and brightly lit path He created for each one of them. To let each one know how special they are, how important and loved by God they are; to provide encouragement to be brave putting their faith and trust in God – holding the hope they would begin to ask God to speak to their hearts with that special word He hand picked just for them…with the prayer that as they wear that word, they will walk in the hope, with the vision, dreams and desires that our God designed especially for them.

We are continuing to raise funds for Case De Luz ministries, and the women in their community, as we sell these hope-filled necklaces. If you would like to purchase a necklace, please, click here.
