Proverbs 28:13

“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”

Titus 3:4-5

“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit…”

Prayer

Father,

Until I reach the glory of heaven, I will not fully know the extent of Your mercy. To say that I deserve hell and destruction is not an exaggeration. In my human thinking, I often forget that the just payment for my sin is spiritual death; eternal separation from You. Even while I acted in direct opposition to You, at that very time, You rescued me in Your mercy. You intervened when no one else could and offered the blood of Your Son in payment for my transgression. Your forgiveness is in no way dependent on a passing kind mood or an indecisive mind. You are supernaturally consistent, and You faithfully forgive Your people through the atoning blood shed by Christ.
