I AM: The Truth About God

I want to believe the truth about God so that I CAN become the person I AM created to be.

Glorious

Meditation

Ephesians 1:4-7

“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”

Isaiah 43:6-7

“I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

John 1:14

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Prayer

Father,

You are extravagantly glorious. You are fiercely zealous for the glory of Your Name. Your zeal is in no way egotistical, but instead, remarkably kind. You know all things, and in Your unending wisdom You reconciled the souls of men to Yourself by the blood of Your Son. Because You are infinitely good, there is nothing better for humankind, in all of creation, then to live in relationship with You and experience Your glory. To see Your glory is to see Your Son, the Risen Christ. You know Father, that there is nothing sweeter than for me to know Christ. By His resurrection, You have made me a carrier of Your glorious presence on Earth. Your zeal for Your glory and for my joy are one, glorious King.
