1 Corinthians 14:33

“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.”

2 Thessalonians 3:16

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”

Prayer

Father,

I believe that You are a God of peace. I recognize that Your peace is not simply the absence of chaos, but instead the powerful presence of You. Shalom carries with it the idea of ‘flourishing.’ You don’t only want to remove the stress that consumes my life at times, but You want to bring a flood of renewal to my heart and healing in my relationships. I pray, not only that You would give me peace, but also that You would be my peace today. Please clothe me in it, as a life-restoring blanket. Thank you, Father that You are my peace today, I receive it in Jesus’ name.
